I have recently completed two book narrations, for two separate audiobooks:
Shout the Battle Cry of Freedom by K.M. Breakey and
Atlantean by Jay Bowers.
Neither is out yet, but this is just a heads up- soon both will be available. I will give you all the information you need, once the books are finally out and available for download. For now, just be aware that here are two audiobooks that you will want to read; they should be out really soon. And both are truly labors of love!
I also have many audiobooks available for immediate download. The thing about audiobooks is that they are truly an effortless way to consume books, especially as you are doing something else. (Like driving)! And trust me, there is nothing ‘less worthy’ about listening to a book as opposed to actually reading the words on a printed or digital page. They are just different ways to get the job done, no more and no less!
I have actually found that the audio of a book (or podcast) is often more memorable and compelling than simple visually reading. There is something about the spoken word, as there is about music as well, that gets right into your head and heart in a visceral way. The tales of Homer and other ancient bards were primarily passed on vocally, as were those of Beowulf and other early traditions.
Even Shakespeare was primarily vocally transmitted in the form of his plays, when in early England most of the populace was illiterate.
So start to download audiobooks if you have not already done so. Check out my catalog on this site to find my own ‘chantings of my inner bard’. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
