A Show Worth Watching

June 10, 2020 by jjhbowers

Ross Poldark

I am not a big one for television viewing. Aside from the news on occasion, I mainly watch movies and series on Amazon Prime, since it is free (the free Amazon shipping makes it a no-brainer for me, and the videos are included).

And when do I find the time to watch? In the early morning when I exercise in front of the television. This is a pairing I recommend to everyone, but so far as I know I am the only one to do so. Watching a wonderful program like Poldark, which follows the adventures of this late 1700’s redcoat soldier in the Americas and then back to his privileged British aristocratic upbringing is fascinating, and only serves to energize your pushups, situps, and other physical culture endeavors!

There are 5 seasons, and I have just finished the 5th and last season of this show based on the Winston Graham novels. In fact, I am watching the 1st season again, just to refresh my memories, since I watched it years ago now.

Highly recommended! This was England when it was a viable country, and shows that the so-called hardships we endure today are tiny compared to those of the hard-working past. Go to the past, and learn how we can better behave in our devolved present.
